A wonderful day at Edgbaston
Tue 03 Jul 2018What a wonderful day at Edgbaston yesterday with the year 5 cricket team. They played really well as a team and showed improved skills on the field, as well as being praised by other school teachers for their politeness throughout the day.
Throughout the tournament, we were told that 137 schools took part in the local and regional games in Warwickshire and overall we came 21st – such an amazing achievement for our team, they should be proud of themselves.
A big well done from all of us at Newdigate primary and Nursery school.

Nursery sports day
Thu 28 Jun 2018On Tuesday 26th June Little Nursery and School (Big) Nursery got together to enjoy sports day. After lots of fun practicing on the field for two weeks, the children had the chance to show family and friends some of their new skills.
The races kicked off with a super speedy running race by the children in big Nursery, followed by a sparkly Pom Pom race with the Little Nursery children. Friends and family whooped and cheered the children and staff as they ran, skipped and hopped along the track.
School nursery children showed off their balancing skills as they raced, balancing quoits and beanbags on their heads, while Little Nursery skilfully stepped through hoops. Little Nursery’s final race was a sleeping bunny hop-a-long! The children all lay at the start of the track, sleeping peacefully while we sang to them, when the bunnies were woken it was a hasty hop to the finish!
We finished the day with the parent race! We had some willing (and less willing!) volunteers who joined in with the races, and the children cheered and waved in support.
Thank you to all who came along to support us.

Welcome Back to School!
Wed 06 Sep 2017Welcome back to school to all our children and also a big welcome to our new families joining us this time. The children have all settled into school incredibly well.
We are also very pleased to be able to have given every child a new PE T shirt in their house colours. These were given out this week and here is a photo of Miss Chilton's class proudly wearing their T shirts for their first PE lesson this week!
We are sure you agree they look wonderful!
