Bikeability - Year 1
Year 1 have been taking part in Bikeability. We have all developed our skills when riding a bike, taking part in lots of different activities . The visiting instructors were very impressed with our perseverance. What a great way to start the week.
Remembrance Day
This week, Reception have made Poppies. We used templates to draw around the different parts. We then coloured in the different parts and stuck them together to make our Poppies.
Well done to 3 year nursery who took part in the 2 minutes silence outside on the hill. We looked for the poppy drop but didn't see it. We all made poppies in a variety of textures.
Very proud of our Year 4 children who showed great respect at the Bedworth Armistice day parade for its 100th anniversary.
Year 2 gymnastics: 10.11.21
2deM were testing their strength, balance and determination yesterday at gymnastics. The whole class were awarded the certificate this week because everyone tried so hard.
Key Stage one dodgeball tournament: 8.11.21
The Key Stage One dodgeball team represented the school amazingly today. They showed such determination and sportsmanship in all of the games they played. Miss White and Miss deMiranda were so impressed with the very well deserved 3rd place finish
Nursery celebrating Diwali
We have had a lovely morning celebrating Diwali in Nursery The children have made cards, watched ‘Let’s Celebrate Diwali’ on CBeebies, listened to the story of Rama & Sita, made their own Diva lamps and learnt the song ‘Happy Diwali to you’ We have had a fantastic morning
Author Visit Year 3
Following on from Tuesday’s trip to the Children’s book show, yesterday, some of the Year 3 children had the opportunity to work with author and illustrator Yuval Zommer on their own amazing bug illustrations. The children had a great time and produced some brilliant art work.

Congratulations to Dawson, who last week took part in a zoom meeting with our prime minister Boris Johnson for the children’s parliament. We are so proud of you Dawson and we look forward to you being our MP in the future
Children's Book Show for Year 3 and 4: 2.11.21
Today was the day of the exciting Children’s Book Show for Years 3 and 4. We got to hear Yuval Zommer talk about his beautiful book, The Big Book of Birds . The children were even lucky enough to receive their own copy to take home A lovely morning was had by all!
Harvest Festival Donations

HATS ON FOR MENTAL HEALTH DAY: 22.10.21
Thank you to all of the children who spent time making some absolutely amazing homemade hats which represent positivity and growth mindset! There will be a small prize for all and a main prize for each key stage phase!
Year 6 football Tournament: 19.10.21
Year 6 footballers are ready and waiting for their tournament.
They played well as a team and were commended on their honesty and kindness.
Year 5 and 6 Dodgeball: 18.10.21
We are very proud of the year 5/6 Dodgeball team! They improved throughout and even ended up winning the tournament!!! Miss Grove and Mrs Casey were especially proud of how honest they were when they were out!
Dodgeball Win for the year 5 team: 12.10.21
A huge well done to the children from Year 5 that took part in the dodgeball competition. They were awarded points for showing respect, honesty and teamwork. They were a super team and came first out of all the schools attending! Well done to everyone that took part.
6.10.21: Year 5 Gymnastics
Year 5 have been developing their balance and coordination skills at gym today. They have enjoyed using the beam, the fast track and the trampette to complete a range of gymnastics activities.
BOOK FAIR: 24.09.21
What a fabulous book fair this week! After school today is the last night to visit. The best customer award this year goes to Harnek who visited 3 times!
MACMILLAN CAKE SALE: 24.09.21
Thank you to everyone who donated cakes and to those of you who purchased them. We were sold out by the end of the day! All the money raised will go to the Macmillan Cancer Research Charity.
Mrs Marshall and Miss Grove met with children who took part in the summer reading challenge. We looked at the designs for our new library. They had some great ideas and definitely knew what they wanted There’s lots to do so we will need lots of help over the year!
