Free School Meals
Reception Year 1 & 2
All Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils in state-funded schools are entitled to free school meals (Universal Free School Meals or UFSM).
If you think you are in receipt of one of the qualifying benefits we recommend that, despite the introduction of UFSM, you still apply for free school meals. This will mean we do not miss out on important funding which may may contribute towards your child’s education through one-to-one and small group tuition, specialist provision such as counselling and nurture groups, educational resources, activities and experiences.
It may also mean your child will continue to receive free meals after the end of Year 2.
Please click on this link to apply: Apply online or ask at the school office for a paper form or for further guidance.
Years 3 - 6
If you receive a qualifying benefit, free school meals are available for:
- pupils at any school maintained by the authority
- pupils attending maintained nurseries, as long as they are attending before and after lunch
Please click on this link to apply: Apply online or ask at the school office for a paper form.
School Meals
Educaterers are our schools meal provider. They use locally sourced ingredients including fresh fruit and vegetables, organic milk, free range eggs, yoghurt’s and meats that come from Warwickshire and neighbouring counties.
Vegetarian (v) choices are shown on the menus. The school runs a 3 week rolling menu and copies of these are dislpayed below. To read more about Educaterers please click the link to be taken to their website https://educaterers.co.uk/.
If you would like your child to have school meals, please contact the school office. Meals should be paid in advance on a weekly basis (price as of September 2024 is £2.65 per day / £13.25 per week). Payment for school meals should be made via Schoolcomms, our online payment system. If you have not received registration details please see the school office.
Packed Lunches
Children may also bring their own packed lunch. We actively encourage healthy eating and ask you to consider this when preparing your child’s lunch. Sweets are not allowed and chocolate should be limited to one small bar or biscuit. Nuts, or products containing nut traces, are not allowed as we have pupils with severe allergies. Most chocolate spreads contain nut traces, and therefore it is easier to say that none are allowed. Lunch should be packed in a lunchbox, which is clearly labelled with your child’s name. Drinks should be brought in a plastic flask or other unbreakable container for safety reasons, again clearly marked. Please do not send canned drinks or fizzy drinks.
