Traffic lights: January 2020
In science, the children have investigated circuits and have then created a set of working traffic lights. They worked in groups and thought carefully about which components and equipment would be needed. They wrote a clear investigation which included: an aim, method, circuit and a conclusion.
Light and shadow: October 2019
The children investigated how shadows form as light gets further away from an object. They applied their previous knowledge to create a prediction and hypothesis. The children considered their variable carefully to ensure that they conducted a fair test.
Periscope Investigation: September 2019
The children in Year 6 are investigating how to change the direction of light. They used their problem solving skills to create their own periscope in groups. Have a look at some of the pictures below:
