We ask that children arrive, and are collected, promptly.
Children are supervised from 8.45am when teachers collect them from the playgrounds (8.00am if they attend Breakfast Club). It is not advisable for young children to come and go home from school by themselves. If a person other than you is collecting your child please let us know.
Once school begins, children are not allowed to leave the grounds without permission. If it is necessary for a child to leave the premises during the day (e.g. a visit to the doctor), a written note is required, together with official confirmation of the appointment. Parents must first come to the main office and your child will be collected from their classroom. It is then necessary for you to sign your child out at reception as they leave the premises and in again if they return.
In order to ensure the safety of all site users, parents who drive their children to school are requested never to park on the yellow markings outside the school.
Lateness and Absence
Lateness in arrival and being collected can be very distressing for children. We therefore ask you to ensure your child is at school on time and collected promptly at the end of the day. If, for any reason, you will be late collecting your child, please let us know as soon as possible, so that appropriate arrangements can be made to ensure their safety.
If your child is absent please notify the school in writing or by phone to the office between 8.30am and 9.30am. We will call you if your child is absent and we do not know why. If the absence remains unexplained, a decision is made by the Headteacher as to whether the absence is unauthorised according to the legislation and guidance set by the Department for Education, and we will take action accordingly
