Year 2

Welcome to Year 2

Here you will find a range of learning for your child to complete. Weekly spellings will be on Spelling Shed and weekly maths activities will be on Maths Shed.

We have decided to create a 'Hall of Fame' to celebrate some of the amazing learning we receive each week. We are putting our favourite pieces on to share, so don't forget to send us yours! smiley

Home Learning week beginning 13.07.2020

Worker of the Week week beginning 20.04.2020

Our worker of the week for Year 2 this week is Amelia Tkocz!

She has been working hard all week doing lots of amazing research to create a non-chronological report about Bedworth. Over the week she has also gradually built her fully functioning mine model, including a winding mechanism and shaft!

Both Mrs Casey and Miss de Miranda are absolutely thrilled with all your hard work and what you have created is fantastic!

Well done Amelia! Keep it up!

Worker of the Week week beginning 27.04.2020

Our worker of the week for Year 2 this week is Jaxon Sharkey!

During lockdown he has been working hard doing lots of amazing research and crafts linked to our topic. He has also been doing extra learning, writing his own story about what is happening in the world right now. Jaxon has been getting hands on with learning, planting and taking care of his own flowers and even growing his own food.

Both Miss de Miranda and Mrs Casey are absolutely delighted with your work ethic!
You should be extremely proud of yourself!

Well done Jaxon! Keep it up!

Worker of the Week week beginning 04.05.2020

Our worker of the week for Year 2 this week is Daniel Kozlovskis!

During lockdown he has been working extremely hard to complete lots of different tasks. He particularly enjoyed writing his amazing ‘I wish’ poem and even researched each animal he wrote about! He has also been embedding his knowledge of capital letters and full stops by editing some writing that had a few mistakes. Daniel has also been practising money and using it to make different amounts.

Both Mrs Casey and Miss de Miranda are extremely thrilled with all of the fabulous learning you have produced!
Well done Daniel! Keep it up!

Worker of the Week week beginning 11.05.2020

Our worker of the week for Year 2 this week is Alyssa McRobb!

She has been putting fantastic effort into all of her work this week! She has been baking tasty bread (something she’s going to be making lots more of!), creating her own story and has been doing lots of brilliant maths learning. Alyssa has also been completing some extra learning online as well. She is particularly enjoying being able to read lots of books on Bug Club!

Both Mrs Casey and Miss de Miranda are absolutely ecstatic with all your hard work and you should be very proud!

Well done Alyssa! Keep it up!

Worker of the Week week beginning 18.05.2020

Our worker of the week for Year 2 this week is Corey May!

He has been doing lots of amazing learning since lockdown and has put in tremendous effort! He has been making tasty pizza, keeping fit with Joe Wicks and growing plants, all whilst keeping on top of his maths and English learning!

Both Mrs Casey and Miss de Miranda are absolutely thrilled with all your hard work and you should be very proud!

Well done Corey! Keep it up!

Worker of the Week week beginning 01.06.2020

This week is a little bit different...

Both Mrs Casey and Miss de Miranda found it extremely difficult to choose just one worker of the week, so we have chosen our favourite pieces of learning that have been sent to us instead!

We are amazed with how excited and enthusiastic children have been when completing their home learning and extra activities!
You have all been doing incredibly well!

Keep it up and continue to be proud of everything you have achieved!
