School Nursery Class
Our School Nursery Class is the ideal introduction to your child's education. Children learn best through play and we strongly believe in supporting children to learn through exploring a wide range of opportunities and experiences we can offer in our Nursery class.
We admit children into our Nursery class in the term after their 3rd birthday, for half a day, five sessions a week.
Session times are: Morning session: 8.45am to 11.45am
Afternoon session: 12.30pm to 3.30pm
To apply for a place, please contact our school office on 02476 361662 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Your application will be considered using the Warwickshire Guidelines. We will tell you whether or not a place can be offered during the term before your child is due to start Nursery. You may be asked to withdraw your child from the Nursery if you cannot ensure that he or she attends regularly. Our admission number for Nursery is 26 per session. Nursery staff carry out home visits prior to your child starting and pupils will be offered an induction visit session. If your child comes to our Nursery class he/she does not have to move on to Newdigate School. Equally, attendance at the Nursery does not guarantee that he/she will be offered a place in Newdigate School.
Children attending our Nursery wear full school uniform and take part in regular PE and ICT lessons. They follow the EYFS curriculum supported by our team of highly qualified teachers, Early Years Educators and support staff.
We can also offer extra sessions in our Little Nursery for children attending school nursery. Lunch cover and extra afternoon or morning sessions are available at a reasonable cost. Please see Little Nursery page for more information
